Pine & Pour is a specialty coffee bar in Asheville: a handful of seats, wood on every surface, single-origin pour-overs and pastries baked in-house.
Pine for the room, pour for the coffee. That's the whole idea.
The name says what we care about. Pine is the wood that lines the walls and counters, the warm, plain material of the mountains around Asheville. Pour is how every cup is made: one at a time, by hand, at the bar.
We built the room from wood because it softens sound and holds the morning light, so the place feels calm even when the line reaches the door. It's a room that asks you to sit a little longer.
We pour by hand because single-origin coffee deserves it. A slow pour-over lets each bean taste like where it came from, and it gives us a few minutes to talk with you while the water drips through.
Wood counters, the pour-over bar, the pastry case and the art on our walls, in the light we open to at 7am.
The walls at Pine & Pour belong to local artists. We hang a new show every [NUMBER] weeks, so each visit there's something new to look at over your cup. If you make work in Asheville and want to show it here, we'd like to hear from you.
